We started just 2.5 years ago with a local focus, but our work has grown across the city. While Littleover and Blagreaves remain at our heart, our new name reflects where we are today. Nothing else changes. The same ethos, the same values, and the same passion — just with bigger ambitions for Derby.
At Greener Derby, we are a passionate, community-led initiative based in Derby, dedicated to making the Littleover and the west of Derby area cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.
Through hands-on activities like litter picks wildlife conservation, and eco-awareness events, we empower residents to take meaningful action for the environment. Our flagship event, Derby West's Great Big Green Week, together schools, local groups, and individuals for a vibrant celebration of climate and nature. We offer everything from bug hunts and bat walks to sustainable education events and storytelling sessions.
